Top 5 things to do in L.A

Los Angeles is the city where stars live, however it is not the only thing that the city is famous for. With a great selection of attractions and sights to see, it can be a great place to decide to take your next holiday. If you decide to stay in a hostel or a short term apartment in L.A, you are guaranteed to have an amazing time in this lively city. Here are a few ideas as to what you should see or do whilst on holiday here:

5) Go to the open air “Grove Mall”. If you want to get a cracking deal on food, clothes or gifts, this is the place to visit if you want to find a bargain. If travelling from abroad and the currency exchange rate is in your favour, then you can save even more! Famous shops such as “Abercrombie and Fitch” and “Barney’s New York Coop” are located here, if you fancy getting something a bit more extravagant whilst on holiday.

4) Go clubbing. Of course the age to drink legally is 21 in the US, so make sure everyone is of age before you plan something like this. The city’s most famous club “Avalon” is definitely worth going to if you are the party animal.

3) Hollywood! You definitely need to visit this area of L.A before your time is up. Here you will be able to walk the Hollywood walk of fame and find your favourite celebrity. Along this strip you will also find the famous “Grauman’s Chinese Theatre”. Here there are signatures and footprints in cement from lots of different celebrities over the years. Just next to the theatre is the “Madam Tussauds Wax Museum”, where wax models of today’s and past superstars are displayed. There is also the opportunity to go on a “tour of the stars”, where you can find out where the stars live.

2) Visit Venice beach! A trip to L.A is not complete without a visit to this amazing beach. You can take a walk from Venice beach to Santa Monica beach, which takes about 40 minutes on a leisurely walk. Rent some skates or a bike to travel up and down this path with the beach at your side. Once you reach Santa Monica Beach, there is a brilliant pier with lots of rides and attractions for the kids (and of course for the adults too!).

1) Disneyland! Have you ever been to Disneyland? Then why not spend a day or a weekend at the original Disneyland here in L.A. Walt Disney had input into the design of this park, so there is definitely a different type of feel to have here in comparison to the one in Florida. This theme park has two different parks – Disneyland and Disneyland California Adventure Park – so a weekend trip here is definitely recommended to see it all, especially if travelling in the summer.
